Daniel Ramos, OMF's New Community Technology Administrator
Daniel is the newest addition to the Open Media Foundation team. As Community Technology Administrator, he will be supporting and maintaining the technology that we've built DOM on, so that community members are always able to have access to the tools they need to get their message out.
To maintain DOM's IT infrastructure, Daniel will primarily work with the labs and computer hardware that OMF staff and the community use to offer media education, edit and ingest community video footage and to share videos online for watching and voting.
Maintaining and supporting the community technology at DOM is an important job. In Daniel's own words, "There is a lot of media being delivered to the masses but it is done so with an agenda and by those who possess a lot of resources. The idea of putting resources in the hands of those who have limited access to media (due to our societies' inequalities) is a very democratic act of freedom."
